Halloween Funness!

I'm pretty much in love with any holiday... it means I get to plan, party, have fun, and dress up my girls! Halloween this year was no exception! :)

Friday night we went to our ward Trunk or Treat! They did a great job! We ate soup and bread and then the girls got to play some games!...



They asked me to make some cakes for the "Best Trunk" prizes!... So as we walked around to trunk or treat I took special notice of who went all out to decorate their trunks!!!

Saturday night Chris and I went to a Harry Potter themed party! I was... a general no name teacher :) and Chris was supposed to be Vuldemort... but everyone kept asking... "Who are you supposed to be!" Bahaha. We had a lot of fun though and it was our first time getting an actual teenaged babysitter! I felt so.... grown up!

Today was actual Halloween and we went up to Midwestern this afternoon for their office trick or treating and party! Chris started his 5th rotation today! Cardiology... so he didn't make it until the very end. Angel is a sweety and joined me :)

On the way over to the school I was practicing with McKenna on saying "Trick or Treat" loud enough. So we kept saying it over and over and all of a sudden Adyson just started saying

"Trick or Treat!".... CUTEST. THING. EVER! :)

Plus, she was always happy if she had a sucker in her hand. At the trunk or treating, she ate an entire sucker with the wrapper on! Hahaha

Right when they walked in the door they dumped out their buckets... including the bag of popcorn!

We were planning on trick or treating tonight but the girls were done! They were all partied out!

Pumpkin Carving!

We carved pumpkins for family night :)

Here's McKenna pouting that Adyson was got to sit on the table and get her picture taken before her... (Ya... for about a week now she's been into this pouting thing... I'm not a big fan!)


But she was happy when I told her she could also sit on the table with her pumpkin...


Chris moved them to the floor so Adyson could help... they each grabbed a spoon and started wacking the pumpkin. I like this pic because you can tell what Chris was thinking and saying... "Okay... this is not going to work..." Bahaha! Gotta love having a 1 year old and a 2 year old!


McKenna thought the pumpkin guts were in her words "disgusting."


Adyson on the other hand LOVED the pumpkin guts!


Then McKenna painted her pumpkin :)

UEA is Utah's school break they always have in October! I love UEA! I started loving it when I got engaged over the UEA break in Disneyland! I kept loving UEA when I was a teacher... and now I still love the UEA break because that means we get visitors!!!

Nana, Papa, and Aunt Madi came to visit us this last weekend! We kept SUPER busy with...

The girls each got to pick out their own pumpkin. Adyson knew her pumpkin right away! She kept hugging it and when Chris tried to take her to another one... she cried!...


McKenna on the other hand had to look and look and look for just the right pumpkin...

But when she found it she knew it was the one... hahaha

We had so much fun and like always... we were so bummed they had to go :(

But we are excited for all the Halloween festivities coming up this week!
