Firsts...

We've had a couple firsts lately...

First Kiss...

McKenna has preschool every Wednesday. We rotate between 4 of our homes and McKenna LOVES it! Last week I picked up McKenna and got some interesting news... McKenna had been caught kissing Zurik. That's right, her first kiss... what the ?&%#$^ She isn't even 3 yet! I spoke to her that afternoon and I told her that we don't kiss our friends and I gave her some extra suggestions such as... high fives, hugs, thumbs up! The next time I talked to Zurik's mom we decided they at least both had good taste and that we'd hold off on the wedding planning until after preschool :) I have a feeling that her recent OBSESSION with Princesses and Princes is to blame... Dang you Disney!

First Swim of the Year!...

It was super warm today so we headed down to the pool for our first swim of the year with the Clements! And... I gotta say... I finally remembered why 6 or whatever months ago we decided to resign here at San Lagos! The pool is AMAZING! We will probably be there everyday for the next 8 months!

Adyson was a little weary at first kinda like it took her a little bit to realize what the pool was but at the end she was doing AWESOME! She was floating all over the place with just her wings and she was loving it!

Thing 1 and Thing 2!

Thing 1 and Thing 2... that's what we call the girls these days!... they are a couple of characters! Ironically what McKenna has called us since Christmas is Chris and Jesica... she isn't trying to be cute or funny... she just realized those are our names. At first it was funny... now, I'm just trying to get her to call me mommy again! She says all day long...

"Your name Jesica?"
When I say... "but I'm your mommy so you call me mommy!" She says, "But your name Jesica!"

"Chris (when she says it, it sounds like kiss) come here!"

"Kiss... will you help me?"
"You're funny Jesica."

We've been enjoying lots of family time with Thing 1 and Thing 2! Chris is currently on his psych rotation... bahahaha. Interesting place he's been goin to! He has every Thursday off and weekends! It's been fab!

We recently went to Jumpstreet and got our jump on!

Thing 1 was THRILLED and loved every second!...

Most of the pics I got of her were blurry "action" shots! Couldn't get the girl to sit still!

It took Thing 2 a little longer to enjoy the jumping experience... she was a little nervous!

But she eventually enjoyed it! :)

So did Kiss... :)


We've also been enjoying any time we can spend with the girls newest and youngest bff's... Little Zoey! :)

Oh... and McKenna had her first "Down-do" ever! She's SO OLD!!!!

That's our news! :) Yep.... we're pretty exciting :)

A Utah New Years!

Right before we left for Christmas the doctor that was Chris's preceptor for his next rotation called him and let him know that she would be on vacation until the 5th which means that we too got an extended vacation! Wahoo! So completely unplanned we headed to Utah for New Years after our Colorado Christmas! We just can't stay away from Nana and Papa!

The girls love it because they get spoiled rotten!... Here's McKenna and Adyson watching a movie in Nana and Papa's bed. We KNOW Nana likes them if she is letting them do this :) she even let them have popcorn in the bed...

It took Adyson some time to get used to the big doggies again!...

We went to Gateway and Nana and Papa let the girls each make a build a bear! they were in HEAVEN! And... I may have enjoyed it too :) Then we got some dinner at Rumbi before getting on the Trax to head to Temple Square to see the lights!!!

On actual New Years Eve Great Grandma and Grandpa Baum and Uncle Michael and cousin Ethan came up and we ate and played games all night! McKenna was THRILLED to be able to stay up late at the "party!"

We had the most AMAZING holidays and we were so blessed to be able to spend so much time with all the most important people to us! we are just so sad it's over... except for the whole road tripping part, I'm super glad that is over :) !

Everyday in Colorado was packed with lots of fun! Gamma made sure that the kiddies had something to do everyday!

Making the annual sugar cookies... the recipe we use was a little on the... used side! We thought it was quite funny!

We cheered Brad on at his B-ball game :) ...

Britt eating the famous cheese dip... (It's a big joke that if you don't get there right when it's open... you won't get any. You could also easily lose a finger!)

Chris and some of the other gang went to Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol!...

And the best part of the entire trip was just getting to sit around and be with everyone! It was so great having EVERYONE home and that the girls finally got to spend some quality time with their cousins and aunts and uncles! McKenna won't stop talking about everyone (Okay.... specifically Peter... she developed what we might call a little crush hahaha!

We can't wait for the day when we can see everyone again!!!!
