Merry Christmas!!! We are praying the snow is calm enough in Colorado for our flight out in the morning! We can't wait!

Ornament Partay!

My friend Angel through an ornament exchange party this last weekend! There were 10 of us and we each made10 ornaments and then exchanged! Everyone was so creative and although we may not all be the most crafty... we survived!

A few of us also made these ornament cupcakes to keep with the party theme! It was a lot of fun! Now I just have to start thinking of next years ornament!

Out with the Old... In with the New!

Well not really technically! This week McKenna started putting good use to her granny walker! She is 10 months today! She's so big! I love how she is holding her toys in her hand because that is so her... she never wants to drop them!


Out with the Altima... and in with the Accord...

We loved our first car! We got the Altima when we were engaged and now that our lease was up and we had to make a decision we FINALLY made one... and here it is...

Out with Thanksgiving... and in with Christmas!!!

This year we just have a little tree and thanks to a certain 10 month old girl it gets to be on top of a book shelf! Oh well! It will have to do for now! I spent today making cinnamon rolls to bring to friends... can't wait to be home in a week!!!!!

Last weekend we also went to Cracker Barrel with some of our adopted Arizona Family!

After dinner we sat outside in these chairs and talked about how nice it will be in 80 years when we can retire and sit in them all day long!

The Fun we can Have with No Monies!

So maybe everyday we are in med school we go deeper and deeper into the whole of debt... but we still manage to have fun and make the best of life! I want to enjoy this crazy journey we are on!

Here's what we've been up to since we've been back...

I keep thinking McKenna can't get any more fun but she gets more fun everyday! the other morning I heard loud noises coming from McKenna's room and when I went in I found her standing at the edge. She had pulled off her mobile and her net above her bed... sneaky sneaky!

Wednesday we had her 9 month check up followed by play group at the park! She continues to be in the 90th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight.

This was our first time going to the park and HOLY COW did she LOVE it! She was just as giddy as could be in that swing! We'll have to start going lots more!

Yesterday class got out a little early so a group decided to head over to the golf course for a break... which doesn't happen often!

As of Thanksgiving break McKenna has discovered her binkys... she never would take them until now! It is still weird to see her with one in!

The study group plus Derek's dad who is in town for the week! We couldn't have nicer people here in AZ!

Tonight was a pajama Bunco party at a friends! Jessy, Angel and I have also started running in the mornings!

When you get Bunco... you get the crown... I never got it... I cried!

Angel with her prize... I have to put her on with hers since I didn't get one... once again... I cried!

On the way home from Bunco night we made Jessy pull into Home Depot because their was a fire... Oh... the fun we can have with no money!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent the last 2 weeks in Utah doing just what Chris wanted to... Nothing! We had a great time catching up with family and lots of good friends but I think what we enjoyed most was sleeping in and relaxing!

Here's McKenna is her Thanksgiving pajamas I just couldn't resist!... the read... Everyone is thankful for me!... and that we are!

She thought it was pretty fun to sit in this basket! It is such a blessing to have so many grandparents and great grandparents to love us and our baby girl!!!

She also enjoyed a little preview of what Christmas has to bring since Chris' Grandma gave her a baby doll early as well as the books and toys her nana and papa spoiled her with!

McKenna LOVED being around the puppies! The longer we were there the more comfortable she became with them!

It was so great to catch up with old friends! We made it down to Brick Oven... where it all began! I adore Cristina and Paulie... so good to catch up! Chris and I also got 2 date nights! Once to the temple and the other out with John and Bonnie! There's nothing quite like friends who no matter how long it's been... it's still the same! We enjoyed dinner and a New Moon! Thanks again for treating us to the movie guys! So nice.




Besides our car's battery dying and having the flu we had such a great time! I love the holiday season and the joy it brings in the air!!!!

Tests, Tests, Tests

We are on the downhill slope of Chris' first finals week. He has 2 tests left of 7 total! He has done SO well on all of the ones so far and I'm sure will do great on the last 2! Finals week includes lots and lots of studying... and Caffeine!!!

McKenna enjoyed crawling for like a week... now she is dying to walk! Her newest thing is to stand by all of her toys! She thinks she is so big!!!

After finals we'll be headed to Utah for Thanksgiving! Hang in there Chris!!!
