Adyson's New Tricks!

Last Week I walked into the family room and found Adyson standing at the toy box! She decided she wanted in there and she figured it out! Then this last Monday we were just sitting there playing during McKenna's nap and she did one of her other newest tricks to go from this...

to this... all by herself!

Then she got into her crawling position...

and away she went!...

All of a sudden she was here!...

She is so much happier now that she can get to wherever it is she wants to be whenever she wants! Happy crawling to Adyson!

9 Months!

Yesterday this little girl turned 9 months old!

She's so big even though it feels like just yesterday she was born!

Adyson:
  • Just got her first tooth when we were in UT less than a week ago!
  • Can eat ANYTHING! She loves to eat anything solid that isn't baby food. McKenna always gagged on a lot of things but even before Adyson got her tooth she could eat anything.
  • Has started to crawl a little! She gets into the stance often and has crawled a little!
  • Gives kisses just slightly!... If you say "give me a kiss" and go to kiss her she'll open her little mouth for a kiss... so cute :)
  • She LOVES to stand!
  • Thinks McKenna is still HILARIOUS! When we were in UT and we would skype home McKenna and Adyson would just crack up at each other for a good 10 minutes! It was like no one else was even there! They only cared about each other!
Her stats from her 9 month appointment:
Height: 28 in. 50-75%
Weight: 18.1 lbs. 25-50%
Head: 17.5 50-75%

We love our Adyson Isabelle! :)

Half Marathon!

Last Thursday Adyson and I flew out to Utah so I could do this...

That's right... I paid $250 in plane tickets and race fees to run 13.1 miles on the street! Hehehe :) But who really can put a price on completing a major goal right?! :)

Angel and I have been running since I could 12 weeks after my last c-section and we've wanted to do a half marathon. I was starting to build my confidence of being able to do one and when I looked for one, it was too late here in AZ because it is already too hot! So we decided to sign up for the Provo half!

Angel and I before the race!...

To make things ten times more fun and amazing... my sister's decided to do it with me! Shanna and Tara did the relay so Tara ran the first half and Shanna ran the second half! We spent a couple months calling each other and making sure we all stayed on track to be ready!

We turned it into a sister's weekend! Thursday we spent all night making our shirts! They said "Which way to the Mall?" Which is so.... um... us :) We got lots of comments on them which was pretty funny.

On our backs we put our nicknames... my Dad has always called me Gucca...

The race was harder than I thought! I had done 12 the week before so I thought I would be fine. At mile 11 I was so tired, then at mile 12 I really thought I may not make it. Thank HEAVENS I had Angel there with me! She was my motivational speaker for the last mile! "Come on, we got this, this is nothing, it's right there, etc. etc. :) " Thanks Angel! You're the best!

Us right after the finish line!...

Me.. being proud of my medal! I've never gotten a trophy or anything so I'm very proud of my 2 running medals I've received hehehe! :)

My in laws watched Adyson for me and came to the finish line to see me finish! They are the best! Thanks and I'm so glad you came!

We had a great weekend of shopping, eating, and catching up! We went to lunch with Brittney and it was great to hear how she is doing and how my brother is doing in the Army!

I spent Sunday, Mother's Day, up with my in laws! Adyson enjoyed playing with her cousin Kylie and it was great to see everyone!

Thanks to Chris for letting me go! I missed McKenna and Him so much and I'm glad to be home!

Ya for completing a big goal of mine! It feels good!

Gift from above?

Our local grocery store is much more than a place to buy food... why do I love it so? It has a Kids Korner... that's right they babysit my child while I get to take my time and quietly and peacefully walk each aisle! When I was telling my sister about it, she said it was almost worth moving to Arizona simply for it! I totally agreed! Then she asked how much it costs. When I stated "Free!" She said "Three dollars! Totally worth it!" No... FREE! Or as Chris always says, "Free.99."

So I just wanted everyone to know how much I enjoy going to the grocery store! Especially now with 2 babes, there is no where to put groceries if Adyson is in the big part in her seat and McKenna is in front! So if I'm not home, you should go to Fry's and you will probably see Adyson and I walking around since the age limit is 2! McKenna was a little weary to go in at first, but now she runs in without looking back! She colors, shops, and always leaves with a stamp on her hand!

So yes... GIFT FROM HEAVEN!
