We've just returned from the happiest place on earth... Disney World! Chris kept saying, "If Disney World is the happiest place on earth then why are there so many kids crying!" We had a great time though. We were in Florida for 8 days and went to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, and Epcot. We also took a day and went to the beach. It definitely was a challenge having a 4 month old baby with us and at first I was so stressed. I was told Florida was hot... but I had NO clue what we were in for. I have NEVER experienced that kind of miserable heat and humidity. It felt like we were constantly in a sauna. The whole time we were there it was record breaking heat, even the news was telling people to stay inside. Sadly all my cutely planned outfits with their matching bows for McKenna went right out the window because of the heat. It was WAY too hot for her to even where pants! She was usually just in her top. By the end of the trip Chris and I had perfected having an infant there though. We just tried to stay inside shops as much as possible and keep McKenna cool. I also perfected nursing in the most random places and McKenna learned to give in quickly when she was sleepy! We had so much fun on all the rides and shows. Unfortunately while we were there McKenna also experienced her first fever and cough... she and I spent one of that day at the hotel. McKenna slept and I lounged and watched TLC! We had such a great time! Here are some pics from our adventure!

Day 3 at MGM Studios! Mickey was so funny! We had to wait in line forever and right before we got to him he left for a few minutes for a "cheese break," I just found that explanation funny!
Day 4 at Epcot! Chris was having some pain issues with his feet... don't mind the socks with the crocs... fashion disaster!

In one of the stores you could make your own Mr. Potato Head by filling the box with whatever you want. Our box was um..... overflowing. We didn't think they would let us have all of it and they did! It was so fun picking out all the stuff! McKenna can now have a pricess, darth vador, or original potato head!
We're glad to be home! Packing here we come!

Looks like you had a great time!!! That weather is what I grew up with everyday- it is like a greenhouse! I missed you at Brit's little boys party:( When are you officially moving because we all need to get together before that- we were thinking a BBQ at my house one of these days... Let me know:)I also missed you at summer conference- can I veto your choice to move away?!:)
I feel your pain, Florida is sooo hot and humid. I can't believe we are moving there!

Looks like so much fun (except the crazy heat and humidity...Ben served his mission in Tampa and knows the secret times that it's way less humid and better for vacationing, though I can't remember when it is). Anyway, I'm jealous. I haven't been to Disney Land in many many years and have never been to Disney World and would love to go! :( I'm glad you had fun though! :)
Sounds like such a fun time! So you mentioned packing...where are you headed! We need to hang out before you leave!

SO MUCH FUN! I'm so jeoulous. I'm glad to hear all went well on the plane and on the trip. There is nothing like a vacation to break you into those fun habits. You gotta do what you gotta do...so funny about the nursing...I love it! Glad you are back! I still have diapers for you if you want to come by before you move.
