This is my solution when I have 2 girls who want to swing and one swing available!
The last two weeks has been...long! Chris is on an away pediatric rotation in Prescott which means it's 1 against 2... all. day. long. He does get to come home for Saturday and Sunday thank heavens! Although thanks to his rotation being peds, last weekend he was terribly sick and on the couch most of the weekend. This week He has a terrible eye infection AND an ear infection!... sounds like fun!
Recently McKenna has completely stopped napping... even though she still desperately needs one.
Recently Adyson has gone down to just one nap... even though she still desperately needs 2!
This means they can quickly turn from their sweet loving selves to what I like to call, CRANK MONSTERS! With 2 crank monsters and 1 mom with little patience it just makes for long days! I keep praying for more patience! We are certainly trying to keep busy. I've been trying to finish up Christmas shopping and will purposely not get everything in one trip just so I can make another trip out on another day!
At the park...
Adyson was SO proud of herself! This is the first time she kept going up the stairs and down the slide by herself over and over! She also learned how to go down the stairs at Nana and Papa's house so she was very proud of that as well!
Adyson also recently discovered marshmallows... apparently she LOVES them! She loves to hold them in her mouth forever!
Then today happened. I was in the other room cleaning and I heard Adyson crying, which is not unusual when McKenna's around! So I went out there and McKenna (who was supposed to be sitting at the table doing her stamps) had completely stamped Adyson... I was mad. McKenna went to time out... but I got my camera!
I have one more week of single-mom-hood until Christmas break.... pray for me :)

Oh my gosh, that what sisters are for I guess! Just think what a tough little cookie Adyson will be when she gets older. 11 days 'til I see you! Woot Woot!!

Ok I really am going to pray for you. I hope the next week goes by fast! What a bad month for everyone to decide naps aren't cool anymore. I love all your updates. Such great pictures of santa and Adyson's stamped face. too funny!
You can do it! Only one more week to go. That must be so challenging but you are an amazing mom and I'm sure they are still well taken care of, no matter how bad of a mom you feel like at times! Let the countdown begin! :)
Oh Jesica I am so sorry. Single mom hood is so unfun. I've done it every summer for the past 4 years. It's awful. Awful. I have so much more respect for single moms. At least when Weston is gone for the summer I can vent to him on the phone every night. That stamp story is so funny. I love it!
I am positive you are doing better than you think at single parenthood! Just look how happy and beautiful your little girls are. Thank goodness for a husband who is so helpful that you notice his absence so much. I hate when Brent is traveling too! Such long evenings! Love all the pics! Cole had a special corner on out tree too. Looked awesome...:)
I love the picture of the stamps all over Adyson's face. It's priceless. Hang in there one more week. It's hard. Merry Christmas.
