Christmas afternoon we headed to the airport to go to Utah! This reunion had been a long time in the making for the whole Dalby family to be together for the first time in 3 years! We were all so excited to see everyone. Even if it did require torturous flights with an almost 2 year old on my lap for several hours... totally worth it! :) Plus we got to spend time with the Fowler side of the family too! The bonus to having our parents randomly live 5 minutes apart!
Nana, Papa, and Maddie picked us up from the airport which was great so we got to see both families on actual Christmas day! We then headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Uncle Ryan has just gotten our of the army and Uncle Brad JUST returned from his mission in Virginia! They had never met Reagan and we had never met my sweet little niece Londyn! It was sooo wonderful to all be together!
Presents...
The Davis family got us a gift certificate to Larry's pizza! Our Bryant famous family restaurant we always go to! I could not believe Shan had called them and had it mailed to her! Genius! We love it!!
I wanted to eat this Londyn Blaire for dessert she is sooo sweet!
My most favorite moments were just being all together doing nothing! I loved catching up with my brothers with late night conversations about their crazy adventures they had just been on, playing settlers, eating lots and lots of chocolate pie, and letting the kids all play together!
Landon... seriously... could you be ANY cuter... I mean really? I think not!!!
I guess we should practice the rules of Twister before the next time we play with anyone else lol...
Sledding... Thanks to Shanna we were able to somewhat pull off warm outfits for my girls. They didn't last long... especially since they were wearing their church boots and Adyson had plastic bags inside that wouldn't stay up!
The girls warmed up with Frozen and Grandpa when they could last any longer in the cold!!
McKenna LOVED coloring with her Aunt Tara and Uncle Peter... Peter should apparently drop out of law school and become a pro colorer... it was ridiculous!!!
All the adults were able to be together in the temple... AMAZING is all I can say!!!
We had girls night out to Mocking Jay followed by Kneaders... yum!... and soooo fun! Love ANY time with my mom and sisters I can get!
Brad's homecoming talk made the entire trip. He left a cool kid and came home a spiritual beast who was a changed man from serving an amazing mission!
I was also able to take him to Brick Oven and help him get a job! So the Dalby tradition of working there lives on!!!
Visiting Grandma at her school!...
The worst part of the trip.. we all got the stomach bug... a TOTAL bummer. The girls got it first followed by me. Unfortunately I got it right when we got to Nana and Papa's house. I totally rained on the fun parade. Then Adyson got it AGAIN followed by Maddie, then shortly followed by Nana and Papa... really?? Sorry we brought the sick bug with us on our visit!!!
We enjoyed a REALLY fun time at the new Thanksgiving Point museum though! The girls had a blast!
Why does McKenna always have to touch the snake????
Some other fun things we did...
- had a wonderful dinner with Great Grandma and Grandpa Baum and Grandma Kay!
- Had a lot of fun with Jaden and Kylie! (totally bummed I didn't get more pics)
- We went to Cafe Rio and to a fun cupcake shop!
- Went to the annual Baum $10 party!!!
- Chris went snowboarding with his dad (even though Doug was still super under the weather! What a trooper!)
- Nana and Maddie took the girls to Big Hero 6!
- Lots of doggie time with Koda and Paisley!
- Playing cards and other games... Pretty Pretty Princess!
- And of course... seeing their new home they have completely remodeled! It was so good to finally see all the work they had done! It looked amazing!
We headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's for New Years Eve. McKenna heard the word party and INSISTED to Aunt Shanna that she must decorate. So they did!
None of us made it til Midnight. But Adyson REALLY didn't make it to midnight hahaha... I tried really hard to wake her up but she was OUT on Grandma!
The awake kidlets...
We did the new years eve countdown that was on netflix for them. Pretty lame, but it worked :) Well... actually it didn't work on the tv so we had to move the party to the computer...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Chris left the next morning but the girls and I spent a few more days there! We headed back to Nana and Papa's for a couple days before we left for some more Fowler time we wanted!!!! We seriously had so much fun and are soooo very grateful we have the families we do! Thank you to mom and dad for getting us out there and for everyone putting up with us having to split our time, etc. We love you all and can't wait to see every one of you again!
I was nervous about the flights home since Chris wasn't there to help but luckily this girl was able to be in a car seat making things 100% easier!!! What a blessing!!!
Back to Arkansas we went...
