Presley's Birth

We had to be at the hospital at 5 in the morning and were scheduled for the first c-section of the day!  I was anxious and we were both ready to meet our baby girl!!

They prepped me for surgery and then we waited... Dr. Phillips came in and told us she may not be able to deliver me.  She came in that morning just for me and had a full day scheduled.  They were short staffed and there wasn't enough scrub techs to help with my surgery since a set of twins came in before me.  I REALLY wanted her to be there.  She ran around like crazy and found some nurses willing to stand in as scrub techs and so it was go time!  I was mostly nervous about my spinal block and the fact that a resident would be doing it.  (No offense to my resident husband. :)  )  They let Chris be in the room with me since he is a resident which was nice!  The spinal went great until it was done and made me throw up several times, but once I got some anti-nausea medicine in me I was able to lay there, close my eyes, and relax!

At 7:58 baby girl made her appearance!!!!!

It was definitely love at first sight!!!!

Once I was in the recovery room I remember being so torn between falling asleep and staring at her!!!  We still didn't have a name for her at this time!

In the recovery room Presley had her first bath!...

In the afternoon Nana brought the girls to meet their new baby sister!...

Meeting the Nana for the first time!...

First family pic of 6!...

I think we finally decided on a name late that evening.  FINALLY!  I loved the name Presley and Chris loved the name Ashton... so we officially decided on Presley Ashton.  Chris said we could name her Presley but he was still going to call her Ashton... I agreed thinking he wouldn't actually do it.  Well... he does lol.

I love the hospital time I have with just me and Chris and our new addition!  The doctor came in and told me that I could go home after 48 hours.  I started to tell them how I had 3 other little ones at home and... they interrupted me and said "OH!  Well we can try and get you discharged early!"  I told them NO!  I wanted to stay longer lol.  I think they thought I was cra cra.

She has the LONGEST fingers and toes!!!

She is our most bald baby!  She does have some hair in the very back though :)...

Our first selfie hahaha...

Her first blow out :)  Normally I wouldn't take a picture of this but her little newborn diaper was completely off her little bum and I couldn't resist!  Only a newborn can pull off cuteness with poop all over them!!!

The girls' second visit!...

Getting ready to go home...

We are smitten with Presley and are so blessed to be her parents!!!!  <3
