Our Adyson Adventure!

Warning... LOTS of pics. and probably way T.M.I. for most of you... but for my journaling... :)

My C section was scheduled at 4:30 pm and we had to be there by 2:30 to start getting prepped! I was a little (okay... a lot) on the nervous side especially since I had all day to sit around and think about everything. Chris's mom flew in the night before to stay with McKenna!

Before her arrival...

We were sure McKenna had no clue how her life was about to change... but she was just excited Nana was here and the spoiling had already began!

I look happy here... I was secretly terrified! When I had my c section with McKenna I literally had a panic attack during it so I was nervous!

All dressed and ready to go... when we got there we were told my doctor was delivering twins by c section just an hour before me so they might be running a little late, we ended up waiting until about 5:30 to go back so Chris and I had some waiting time!

The Birth...

Before we went in I let everyone involved know about my previous panic attack just so they had a heads up! They were all so great and were extra calming because of it! When I was getting all set up in the O.R. the song "Get this party started" was playing... as she was being delivered another song was playing with the words "Breathe... just Breathe..." I thought both were very fitting and I'm proud to say I was panic attack free! I just had to control my breathing and I was fine! I still had tears coming down through the whole thing, but it was a good moment for me to be more aware when she was actually out!

After the Birth...

When they rolled me out of the O.R. and I finally got to hold her for the first time!... we still had no clue what her name was at this point :)


After the c section I was still having a lot of reactions from everything and was sick and throwing up so Adyson Isabelle was finally decided on the next day!


McKenna meetong Adyson!... She still calls babies mama... we are not sure why, but I think it was love at first sight for both of them!...

Going Home...

We were able to go home Sunday afternoon!

It's Chris' tradition to go out and buy the girl's their going home outfit!... He picked both McKenna's and Adyson's out without me even knowing! They are so lucky to have him for their daddy!

They had to push me out in a wheel chair... lame...

Adyson all ready for her first car ride! We live like 2 minutes from the hospital... so it was a short one! :)

We were happy to be home and so grateful Nana was here to be with McKenna! Here's McKenna's first time holding Adyson!

Adyson also brought McKenna a present home! Her own baby doll with all the stuff to take care of her too!...

I'm not sure if she quite gets it yet...!

McKenna is doing really well with Adyson and loves to give her the binky! She gives her lots of kisses and always goes up to her to say hi!

Adyson we are so glad you are home and we can't wait to start our new life as the four of us!

Adyson Isabelle Fowler

Our Princess Adyson arrived Thursday, August 12th 5:53 pm!

8 lbs. 1 oz. 19.75 in.

Any fears about having 2 or not being able to handle the c section recovery have been replaced with pure bliss for my new baby girl and now fear that she will grow up too fast! There isn't anything like meeting your newborn baby for the very first time!

Nursery!

Our ward let McKenna start nursery a couple weeks early since our second baby girl is going to be here this week! I couldn't believe she was going!

Ryan's Wedding Week!

This last week we made the drive (again...) to Utah for my brother Ryan's wedding! We drove up on a Saturday and his wedding wasn't until the next saturday but we had a lot to do in between including, making his wedding cake and attending a Fowler family reunion up in Park City!

Unfortunately McKenna didn't make it through much of the reception... she was losing it and so Chris' parents rescued us and came and got her!


It was SOOOO good to see and have all the fam together! We'll be doing it again soon, in November for my sister's wedding.... craziness!


The wedding was way fun and they got away in style!

Before the wedding we made it to Park City for the reunion! We went to the Alpine slide, (except me... the be pregnant woman) the olympic museum and of course went boating!

We are hot stuff!

Cheetoos are always a great way to keep McKenna happy and entertained!... Unfortunately they are also very messy!

We had a great trip and were happy to make it back home so I can start nesting for our baby girl! Only 9 days and she will be here... crazy!

Blast from the Past!

So for our weekly playgroup this week was at Chuck-e-Cheese... I had not been there in probably over 20 years! My first thought was, does that place even still exist?! Sure enough it does! It was like a blast from the past going in there and seeing the mouse and all of the games!

The Scary electronic Mouse!!!! He's super creepy... McKenna agreed!

Big Babies!

Both our babies are gettin big!!! Here I am 34 weeks... and counting... everyday! It's just too hot here to be preggers!

McKenna gets bigger and bigger everyday too! She also gets funnier! It is so funny how kids copy things that you do! The other morning she was eating breakfast with Chris and she saw him drinking his milk out of his bowl... then the next thing we knew...

She also loves playing the wii with dad...

Lake Powell Weekend!

We spent Chris' 26th birthday weekend and the 4th of July at Lake Powell!!!!

It was an absolute blast! Chris' fam met us down there with the boat! I was a little nervous before we went since it is hard to stick to a schedule with a 16 month old when you are at the lake... but she did sooooo good!

Nana, Madi, McKenna, and I stayed the night in the Marriott while Papa, Chris and Jaclyn camped it out! :) Hehehe! It was perfect and couldn't have been more fun!

McKenna was in HEAVEN playing in the sand... it's so soft it feels like silk! I'm glad she had other's to play with her in it too!... I was good watching and taking pics :)

My absolute favorite part was watching McKenna try and walk around with a Ginormous dipey butt! (Swim diapers are way too expensive to wast on the lake :))Happy 26th Chris and Happy 4th of July! We got to watch some great fireworks, ate great food, and had so much fun!
