Life has been moving along lately faster than I can blog! So here is our update!

Jesica- I have now been back at work for 2 weeks and am now in my last week of teaching! It is definitely a bitter sweet thing!

McKenna- She is so stinkin cute! I adore her! She has been enjoying time up at Chris' parents while I work which has been soooo wonderful having them. She is always smiling and talks so much! She has been a major momma's girl up until now, but is starting to do better with other people! She is soooo tall! I can't believe how fast she is growing!


Chris- is still checking his email every minute waiting to hear from med schools. As of right now we will be moving to Iowa but he is still wait listed at 4 schools... in Washington DC, Vermont, Nebraska, and Arizona. They can technically accept Chris any day now so it is just a waiting game.

We will be moving out of our apartment the very end of June and living with Chris' parents for the month of July since our contract is up! Chris is really excited to start med school and we only wish we knew for sure where we are going! Even though the big move is only 2 months away we can't find housing or anything until we know for sure!

The New Do

So I have been feeling pretty sick of my hair for a while now. I would do my hair and then it would always just end up in a pony tail. I felt like I looked like cousin it with it down... there was just too much of it! So I chopped it off. Chris really wanted me to and so last Saturday I just did it. This is the shortest I've ever had my hair... really! Since I was a little girl and it grew long, I've never had it this short. I didn't know how much I was going to cut off... it ended up being about 12 in. I wish I had known because I could have donated it.

And then of course there is McKenna's new do!... Whenever Chris is alone with McKenna I never come home to her looking like I left her... the bows are always ripped off, sometimes she'll be just in her onsie... you know, just not all put together and fashionable like I left her! This is Chris' version of chef McKenna... her dipey cover on her head.

10 Whole Weeks Old!

McKenna is a whole 10 weeks old today! I can't believe I have only known her for that long, she is already my little best friend! We do everything together... we do laundry, shop, play, and talk (a lot) all day long with each other! I love you McKenna!

Graduation

Chris' sister Jaden graduated last Friday and so we all treked back to Provo! Congratulations Jaden!

The Scoot

Soon after Chris and I were married we invested in a scooter instead of a second car. All last year in Provo while I was driving to Lehi everyday Chris drove the scooter in all types of weather including the snow! We love the scoot and it has been good for us... especially with money! Since we've been in Sandy I have been dropping Chris off at Trax before work or since McKenna, he has been taking the car because of weather. Chris recently fixed up the scoot to start riding it and last week he started taking it to Trax... Lucky for him one of the first days he took it, there was a major rain storm on his way home. He was a little wet and a lot cold! Thanks for taking the scoot honey!

Stupid Doctor

McKenna had her 2 month check up yesterday. Her and I both decided we really don't like the doctor because he makes both of us cry. Okay... we secretly do like him and know shots are a necessary evil, but it was HARD. Last time she had to get a shot I left the room. I thought I was going to be just fine, until I heard her cry a cry I had never heard before. I just hated seeing her in pain. It was very sad, but we survived!

McKenna is doing great and her numbers are looking good!

Weight: 10 lbs. 9 oz. - 49%

Height: 23.43 in. - 84%

Head Circumference: 15.3 in. - 51%

She is tall and skinny! We love her and can't believe how big she is getting!

She smiles a ton now and even giggles every once in a while! She has started recently started to like her monkey mat too!

We take lots of walks are are SO glad it is finally getting nice. I was so desperate to get out of the house before that I was bundling her up in her snow suit to go on a walk!

Most nights she sleeps pretty well... she can go 6 hours some nights without eating. It is usually a struggle to get her back to sleep after she eats, but I think I've been pretty lucky for the sleep I have gotten!

She sometimes falls asleep with her arms in the air... It's pretty cute!

The other night we had just gotten home from being up at Nana and Papa's and her blanky had covered her head... poor thing! But I guess she didn't care because she was fast asleep!

Happy Easter!

Easter was McKenna's first holiday! Chris andI had fun taking her to see the Easter bunny and spending time with family! The Easter bunny brought McKenna new binkys and some movies! Happy Easter!
