This is a picture of all of the Family and Consumer Science teachers at Lehi High! Me, Tammy, Val, and Christine! They've been such a huge help to me in my first year teaching!
Well let me just say.... I think I am worse than the students on being excited for the summer! It is so good to have a break! Chris and I are really enjoying this time to just relax and spend time together! I was going to teach summer school, but no longer am. They offered me the position, but it was only one class and it really wouldn't be worth the drive and gas money. Chris has had a lot of interviews, but we're still waiting to hear back from them! Our fingers are crossed!
We did however make a huge decision that we have been trying to make for months! We are officially moving to Sandy to a complex called Legends at River Oaks. It's a quiet little place right next to the golf course that will do us well! We're excited to just have officially made the decision! We'll be moving in on July 1st! Provo has been good for us, but we're excited for something new! We got the chance to go to dinner with some old friends last week! Cristina, my old roommate and co-worker at the BO and manager Paul and his family, as well as Jenna who has been on a mission! Summer time is so fun.
Other than all of that we are having fun staying up late and sleeping in! Chris is busy getting applications together for med school. He's applying to about 50 this year! We are also busy working out! Chris is currently training for a triathlon later on this summer and I am training for a race that is on the 20th and 21st of this month. A nurse that Chris works with asked me if I would join their team... it's called the Wasatch Back and it is 178 miles long..... um.... gulp... yeah! That was my reaction! It's a team of 12 and we each run 3 legs. My first leg is 3.5 miles, second leg is 7 miles, and the third is 6 miles. I'm way nervous because I haven't done a race before but I am trying to get ready for it! I've always been a gym goer, but I've started running outside which is a whole different game! I'm excited to do something new, plus Chris is such a great support! 14 months after our wedding day and I'm more in love than ever!

Were ALL of the teachers helpful? Or were some a bit crazy? Ha ha! Glad you're enjoying your summer so far. Go you with the running thing. I wish I was that motivated!
Your summer sounds like so much fun. I can't wait until Weston and I get to spend a summer together. Ok so way to go with the race. You will be awesome. I've seen you run and I was amazed every time!!!!

I am so glad that you found a nice place to live. I am also so glad that you are coming back next year because I would go crazy without you. You are the best and I miss you. We have to hang out this summer.
