Baby #3 is a
GIRL!!!!
There has been so much going on I haven't had the chance to share our story and excitement about baby #3!!!
Taking the pregnancy test was one of the most funny moments of my life! I had a bunch of dollar store tests and I had taken some, but I hadn't read in the directions that you had to wait 5 minutes... so I kept thinking they were negative, then I'd see it later on and there'd be a VERY faint line there that wasn't there before but at that point it was way too late for any extra line to be valid. Chris reassured me with all his doctorness that I definitely wasn't pregnant. I took another one and actually waited the correct amount of time and there were kinda 2 lines (positive) but the 2nd line was so so faint. Chris still said I was not pregnant and suggested I had a friend take one who definitely wasn't pregnant to see if there was a faint line... At that point I told him that he could just do it. After MUCH pushing, he finally agreed to do it. Sure enough, he was DEFINITELY NOT pregnant :) We were laughing so hard. And so thrilled to start the journey of Baby #3!
When I was just 6 weeks along I had my first doctor's appointment. I wasn't sick yet and it was still hard for me to believe I was pregnant! As my ultrasound started I couldn't help but to ask "Is there a baby in there?" the lady looked at me like I was crazy and asked "Isn't that why you are here?" I was so relieved to be able to see the baby and the little heartbeat!!!!
That weekend was Father's Day and so we sent each of our Dads these with their Father's Day gifts. We skyped both of them while they opened them and it was fun to see their reactions!!!!...
Before Chris left for Oklahoma we told the girls our news! I was so excited to tell them and I thought they were old enough to be excited... I recorded their reaction (that video is too big to upload) and their reaction was a little disapointing :) McKenna said... "Today?" and Adyson said nothing and went off to play! Hahaha... I felt kinda silly that I thought they were going to be so excited! Chris knew it wasn't the reaction I was expecting so later on he told me to come tape the girls and he had coached the girls on how to have a better reaction, here's the video :) ...
When we got back from our 5 week vaca I went in for my second appointment, I didn't have an ultrasound scheduled but Dr. Erickson did one anyways! I was shocked when my little baby actually looked like a baby! I was still picturing a little tadpole in there and when the baby started waving at me... my heart just MELTED!!!! Here's the pic...

On Thursday we had our gender ultrasound since Chris was leaving for 2 months. Since Chris is the only boy in his family and his dad is the only boy in his family, I am THE only one that can carry on the Fowler name by having a boy... no pressure :) So there was definitely some hoping for a boy. Chris would love to have a son but we were THRILLED to hear the news that our baby #3 is a girl! I feel soooo sooo blessed! The girls also came with us and they were SOOOOOOO excited to hear we were having a sister! They can't wait! McKenna had said from day one she wanted to have another girl!!
On Wednesday I will be 17 weeks and I am feeling great! I was sick through my first tri but I just took a magic little zofran and it helped so much! I am also not as tired now as I was thank heavens! The one craving I have had that has totally surprised me is fast food hamburgers... I DO NOT eat fast food hamburgers so when I couldn't even sleep because I wanted one so bad it was SO weird! I only gave in once and the craving isn't as strong now thank heavens! I have already started online looking for blessing dresses and everything else girly you could possibly imagine so I am in heaven!
We can't wait to meet you baby girl!!!!!!!!!!!
