My Big Girl!

 I'm not sure how...

I'm not sure when...

But sometime and somehow this...

became this...

Adyson has now been potty trained officially for about a month!  I can't believe how big she is!  She really was pretty easy... It was hard doing it while Chris was gone but we survived :)  When I felt like all I dealt with in a day was poop, I was sure to remind Chris that he owes me!  It's funny how different Adyson was then McKenna!

  • She could care less about any bribes... I offered her chocolate chips after she would go... she wanted them the first couple of times then she didn't want anymore.
  • She LOVED that her potty makes music when she would go... McKenna couldn't have cared less about that.
  • Adyson didn't care if I "scolded" her after an accident... she acted like she didn't even hear me.
  • What finally worked for Adyson... after she would go we would have a big dance party and go around saying... "Wahooo, Wahooo, Wahooo, Wahooo.  Go Adyson, Go Adyson, Go Adyson, Go Adyson!"
Chris got home this weekend... more on that FABULOUS news later :)  One of the first things he did was turn her baby crib into a toddler bed!  She. is. in. HEAVEN!  For a while now she has napped in McKenna's big girl bed and she was just dying to have one of her own!  So far... she has still napped well!  I hope it continues!

And one of her number one cheerleaders.... her big sister :)  When McKenna helped Adyson or helped me celebrate when she succeeded she got chocolate chips!  She loved it :)

Yay for no kids in Diaps.... for three more months that is :)

Surprised!

Chris is currently in the process of waiting for interview invites from residency programs.  I therefore check Chris's email every 5 seconds hours :)

 The other day Chris said...
"What if there is something I don't want you to see in there, like a surprise or something..."
I then kinda laughed and said,
"Eh.. I don't really worry about that anymore."

He was quite offended that I felt this way.  That very day that we had this conversation these flowers were hand delivered by Kristina with proof that he had ordered them YESTERDAY.

Um... woops... thanks honey! :)  Love you and thanks for showing me I'm wrong and surprising me! :) :) :)

Preschool!

I've mentioned before that McKenna was doing preschool co-op this year again.  We are with a different group and although McKenna was sad she wouldn't be with her other friends before the first day, she absolutely loves it!  McKenna used to be the oldest of the bunch and now she is actually the youngest of the group.  We are missing our other girl, Olive, who's out of town.  We do it every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 hours!  McKenna loves getting out and that means Adyson and I get a little time!  As I also mentioned before, Angel has offered to watch Adyson so I can run while McKenna is gone.  Adyson LOVES going there.  When she hears it's time for preschool she says "Oh... My Angels!"  Then hurries and gets her backpack packed with a show and snacks!  It is so cute.  One day when she didn't go she just kept whimpering in a sad voice "My Angels?"  It was so sad!  Adyson has also surprised me by being very sad everytime we drop off McKenna.  She says "I miss McKenna."  It's the cutest thing in the world... but also kinda sad!

This week was my first week teaching.  We each picked different topics.  I chose cooking.  I know.... shocking that the prior home ec teacher chooses cooking.  They had so much fun.  On Tuesday we read "If you Give a Moose a Muffin" and then made blueberry muffins.  Today we sang a pizza song, then they all helped me make the dough and they each got to make their own pizza!  They had a great time!

I also made them each an apron and they put their handprints on them!!!

Happy learning :)

Hide and Go Seek!

This is the girls #1 hiding spot!  You have to also imagine hearing uncontrollable giggling while they are behind the curtains! :)

These two are always giving me some good laughs...

McKenna-
At 5:00 in the morning she is standing at my bed in tears... "I had a bad dream.  There was hot lava in the pool and Adyson's juice was in there... '
She's been on a fire kick... She asked, "Is pee pee fire too?"

Adyson-
"Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf" 90% of the day Adyson is pretending like she is a dog.  "Arf, Arf, Arf" is the only thing she will say.  I also found that she listens much better if I refer to her as doggy.  Such as "Come on doggy." "Doggy... pick up your clothes."  She also loves to play fetch.  Should I be worried?
"My do it."  This is what Adyson is saying the other 10% of the day.  EVERYTHING is "MY DO IT!"  Don't try and help her... it's not good!!!

They are CRAZY!!!  Here they are tonight... Chris was reading them their bedtime story over skype :)

Thankful!...

A few of the many, many things I am so thankful for right now...

1. That the girls and I were able to travel to Vegas a couple weeks ago to see Chris!
2. For our friends John and Bonnie who let us invade their home and let Chris mooch for an entire month staying in their home!
3. That the girls love their daddy so much that no one wanted to sit with me at dinner :)
4. That Chris was able to finish his second audition rotation!  2 down... 1 to go!
5. That Chris was able to come home for 48 hours before flying out to Massachusetts!
6. For my great friend Angel who has helped make my single parenthood as easy as possible by having us for dinner, watching Adyson while McKenna's at preschool so I can run, coming over for girls night, joining us for FHE... and the list goes on and on.... I'm one lucky girl to have a friend like her!!!!
7. For other great friends willing to help me out... Meredith watched my girls for three hours so I could get my 3 inch roots colored on my hair!  Jessy has been switching with me so I can run!
8. For Skype!  It's almost like he comes home everyday!
9. For my baby girls that make it all worth it!!!
10. Nursery at church... enough said
11. Ms. Cheryl at the grocery store kids zone!
12. The pool which gives us something to do everyday!

BUT the number one thing I am so grateful for lately is that I have a husband who helps me out so much that I can't stand when he is gone... I am sooooo blessed and although it's hard having him gone, we are soooo close to the end of this med school journey it is exciting and makes me look forward to our upcoming adventure!

Chris flew out Saturday morning and is now in Springfield Mass and LOVING it so far!!!!!

My little Gymnasts!

McKenna and Adyson started gymnastics this week!  It was probably the cutest thing I've ever seen...

They were in heaven.  They play "gymnastics" just about everyday... doing random moves that are soooo not real gymnastics moves so I decided it was time to put them in a class :)

Good thing baby #3 is a girl... I mean seriously... what the heck would I do with a boy????? :)

Making the most of our time!

Chris has been in Vegas now for about 2 weeks...

Before he left...

We tried to make the most of our time together!  We were able to have a date night and go to a movie...

Adyson had her 2 year doctor appointment...

We were able to go to my cousin Alix's beautiful wedding and spend time with family that we never get to see!...

McKenna looking a little Cra cra here.... :)

The groom's Gpa dancing with Adyson :)  ...

The day after the wedding was Sunday and Chris was leaving that afternoon so we skipped church to have us some Daddy all day long time since we had been go go go before he left.  We played games, read stories, ruff housed, had our family night for the week and enjoyed every second with him!  He left and it was hard to say goodbye.

The next day was monday and I decided to potty train Adyson for reals... later that day she had a 103 degree fever and it lasted.... the. entire. week... 6 days!  It was not fun for her and not fun for McKenna and I to be housebound.  But we survived!  I was kinda sick of being "creative"... ya know... pudding painting, making cheerio jewelry, throwing pretend parties... I was sooo out of ideas!  We were so glad when her fever finally broke and we could get out of the house :)
