1 Year Down!

Well 1 year down .... a lot to go... but we'll focus on the 1 year down! Last Friday was Chris' last final for his first year of medical school! Here he is afterwards at our celebratory lunch! He's a little happy! :) Don't look too close though... you'll see bags under his eyes because he was soooo exhausted!

This summer he will be doing a paid research project, (what exactly?... um... he's explained to me many times... and I still don't get it so you'd have to ask him!.. something to do with cancer though.) Although he's going to be working during the day we are still so excited to have him in the evenings and the weekends without studying!!! On Thursday we are headed to Utah for a week and then we'll be here in HOT AZ waiting for the arrival of baby girl Fowler 2... or what we've decided to name her... McKenna 2! (It is the only name we have agreed on so I guess all of the kids will just be named it!:)

Cousin Time!

McKenna and I made our way to Colorado this last week to meet my new baby nephew Ethan and have some sister time! It was Chris' finals week so we knew we wouldn't be seeing him much if we stayed! Before we left McKenna and I gave him a good luck card!

Flying by myself with McKenna always makes me nervous but she did great! This is McKennna waiting in the airport since our flight was so annoyingly delayed.

The whole purpose of our trip... Shanna and Ethan! We already miss them!

McKenna enjoyed her cousin time and it was good to get them all together! As Shanna said on her blog... we both realized neither of us are ready for 4 kids! It can get a little crazy!

McKenna loved Peanut! Every morning she woke up the first thing she said was "doggy!"

We were glad to make it to several of Brad's bball games! He did really great and I wish I could always see him play!

We also made it to the bouncy world!

We had fun and can't wait to see them again!

Busy, Busy!

We've all been pretty busy lately, but of course Chris is always the busiest of us all!

Holy cow has he done AWESOME this quarter in school... I am so proud to have him as my hubby and baby daddy! :)

Just some of his accomplishments this quarter:
  • Getting several perfect test scores
  • Getting the position of president of AMA (American Medical Association) for next year
  • Getting the position of a student Ambassador
  • Getting offered a spot in Sigma Sigma Phi... a National Honorary Osteopathic Fraternity
They've all come with a lot of hard work, ambition, and perseverance.

While Chris is busy doing his thing McKenna and I have also kept plenty busy! I've been making lots of cakes and McKenna plays lots!

When we go to the mall (probably more often then we should :)) McKenna LOVES to ride the mini carousel... to others it would probably be pretty lame... to her, it makes her day! She also is sporting a pony tail these days, it was a big milestone!

Mini Golf!

We recently went mini golfing with some friends! McKenna joined us on our date night and had a fun time off roading in her stroller throughout the course!

McKenna probably didn't want to claim me as her mom when she saw how REALLY, REALLY bad I am at mini golf!

After our fun time we went back to our complex and had a great bbq together! We had a great night!

Meal Time...

This is what McKenna looks like these days during meal time.... SCARY!!!!! She believes she is a very big girl and therefore refuses to let me feed her anything... so this is the end result... I then spend the next 1/2 hour cleaning up the mess, lucky me!

At least she shares well... this is her offering me some of her food! No thanks!

Nana and Papa's Visit!

Last week was a busy week! Although Chris was REALLY busy with midterms his parents and little sister were here for a visit! We had SO much fun and stayed super busy! We got pedis, went to the museum, the zoo, had lots of pool time, and they spoiled us and McKenna rotten! We are so lucky to have them!

At the Phoenix Museum of Natural History.... it was.... well, disapointing but after we went to Cafe Rio which made my month, so it was okay!

McKenna and I in the jail at the museum!

Our pedis!

We went to the wildlife zoo that has a huge aquarium, it was pretty cool.

Nana and Madi feeding the giraffe... which are RIGHT there close to you!

We wish they lived here and love that they come to visit!!!!! We love you and can't wait to see you again!

My Baby Girls!

A couple weeks ago we had pictures taken of both our baby girls!!!

I am currently just over 21 weeks pregnant with baby girl Fowler 2! All is well and I think she will be just adorable! During the ultrasound she asked me.... "Is your husband tall?" Yes... yes... he is and I'm sure just like McKenna she will be as well!

I had McKenna's year pictures taken a little late... I had to get them taken twice because she cried through the entire first session... the easter eggs were the only thing that calmed her down... so therefore... we have Easter pics as well! :)

I love my baby girls :)

Easter Festivities!

Happy Easter Everyone!
We had such a great Easter this year! Saturday McKenna had 2 easter egg hunts, one at Midwestern and one at our apartment complex! She had a great time and since she already loves to carry things around in baskets the concept came super easy to her!

The Easter Bunny... well... didn't go over so well and unfortunately since she was scared to death this was the best picture I got! :)

I got McKenna an Elmo basket because she is obsessed with Elmo! She loved it!

EASTER MORNING...

McKenna's loot...

I had the eggs going from her room to her basket since if I hid them... they would never be
found!

I'm pretty sure the farm animal eggs was her favorite part because it took her forever to actually get to the Easter basket!

McKenna trying to figure out what she's supposed to do with a peep!...

After she realized what she's supposed to do with the peep!...

Sunday night we headed to my aunt and uncles for some AMAZING food and company!!! We loved seeing everyone! Thanks Nancy for the invite!:)

Of course the best part of our Easter was being able to spend time as a family and listen to conference! We enjoyed all the messages from our Prophet and everyone else that spoke. We are so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and we know that He lives! My goal is to live my life accordingly so I can live with Him and my beautiful family forever.
