3 down... 1 to go!!!

Chris has officially finished his 3rd year of Medical School!!!!! That means 3 down and 1 to go!

Last week he finished his last 3rd year rotation, OBGYN, and we celebrated that night by going to frozen yogurt! He then had 4 tests, that last one which he finished today!!! Now he has a few weeks to study for his second set of boards and then he will start his new set of rotations in July!!!

McKenna heard about someone going to school today and she said "Oh school... My Daddy goes to school!' And I thought yes... yes... your Daddy goes to lots of school! I'm so proud of you Chris! I know you are going to rock 4th year!

McKenna's Preschool!

As I mentioned before, we did a co-op preschool with 3 other kids this year! We just did it once a week for 2 hours! Each time the day was focused around a letter! McKenna LOVED it to say the least. She would ask about it all week long and then when it finally came and went the asking of "Preschool today?" would start all over! I loved it too!!! I love all the moms we did it with and I really love all 4 of the kids! How could you not love these four faces!!!!... (Thanks for the pics Meredith :) I stole them from her blog hehehe!)

Unfortunately Zurik will be leaving us and last week was our last week.... SOOO SAD! Just today McKenna said "Mom can we please to preschool again :( " So thanks to the fellow moms that did it with me!

Not only McKenna love it, but Adyson and I always enjoyed a little one on one time too! It was great to do some shopping just with one! :) But Adyson was always happy to go get McKenna after the 2 hours was up too!

The girls pretty much refuse to take a picture without doing this "funny face" anymore... what's a mom to do? :)

Lately...

Adyson...

Thinks she is potty trained without being potty trained. For months now she has pretended. When McKenna has to go potty, so does she. She says all the time "I have to go potty." That means she runs to the potty... sits on it for 2 seconds... then says "I'm done!" I finally just bought her some pull ups because I was so sick of putting her diaps on and off! Now if I could just really get her potty trained! I have no desire to do it before she is 100% ready... basically until she just does it herself! :) Sometimes I let her run around naked to see if that will help her ACTUALLY go potty instead of faking it. So far... no go! Here she is playing candy land in the nude! Her little bum is just so tweekable!!!!!! (and yes, the reason I went private is so I can put pictures like this on my blog :) )

McKenna...

About a month ago McKenna just all of a sudden started drawing people! It was such a proud momma moment! It's just crazy when they start to go from just scribbling to really drawing and coloring! She also loves to "write" people's names! This means she does little lines all over! I personally think her picture is the cutest thing I have EVER seen! :)

Chris...

Is currently on an OBGYN rotation. It is a ward based rotation which means it is a rotation with a residency program. This means that his schedule is the same as a resident's! He has been working several 24 hour shifts which turn more into 28 hour shifts! Lots of babays being born! Although he has enjoyed it so far he does not want to do it! Phew... that is good. :)

This weekend he went on our ward's father/son campout... sonless.... sorry honey! Remember the man chooses the gender of the baby! Even though he was sonless... he still had fun and was able to have a little guy time!

Me?

Well I clean... clean... and well clean... at least that's what it seems like! When I'm not cleaning, I still am running every day and make about a cake a week! I don't advertise at all and 1 cake a week is about all I can handle, but somehow I just keep getting orders!

Our little Ball of Excitement!!!

I bought a Groupon for a month of swim lessons for Mckenna! She ABSOLUTELY loved it and McKenna completely thrives in "class" type situations! It was possibly the cutest thing I'd ever seen! I just couldn't believe my baby was in her first "class" activity! She was so adorable! About every 3 seconds she would turn around wave at us behind the glass with a huge grin just to make sure we were watching!!!!

Her first lesson she had with 2 female instructors. She liked them fine...

After her first lesson we had to change days and she had a male teacher. They totally hit it off and after the lesson he said that she was so much fun to teach because she is a "Ball of excitement!" It's so true. She gets so excited she practically is shaking and can't even listen sometimes! After the lesson she said that she wanted to have the "Daddy" teacher again and not the "Mommy" teachers! Hahahaha... it cracked me up!

She now thinks she is a complete pro swimmer and therefore tries to be Adyson's swim teacher! She did great and I was so proud to be her momma!! :)

San Diego!!!

Months and months ago Chris and I had planned with some friends to try and go on a cruise... then the opportunity for the UT rotation came about and we had to cancel :( We were bummed and we still are that we didn't get to go with our friends but, when Chris got his schedule the doc told him he was going on vacation the last week and a half of the rotation.... SAWEET! That means we too got to have a vacation! We headed to San Diego with Nana, Papa, and Maddie!!!

McKenna was too funny! She ALWAYS wanted to be looking at the map and telling us where we were and where we were going! :)

HANDS DOWN McKenna's FAVORITE part of the entire San Diego trip was being able to hold the star fish!!!! She is STILL talking about it! She would have stayed there all day long if we had let her!
