4 weeks is the time that I will be husbandless and a single mom... boo.
Chris started his first rotation last month while we were in Utah and it was great! He carpooled with Kristina who just happened to be on his same rotation! It was an internal med rotation with a hospitalist! He loved the doc he was with and loved being at the hospital. He was home most days by 4 pm and he even had 4 days off during it! I was getting texts like,
"Swim or sink, they've thrown us into the deep end!"
and
"fake it til you make it , right?!"
He was seeing patients who although he was introduced as "student Dr. Fowler" he said, he didn't think they knew they were the first patient he'd seen! He feels like he did great though and it was just so exciting to start to use some of the knowledge he's been shoving into his brain for the last 2 years!
I was thinking how GREAT this 3rd year was going to be...
Then today came... we had been so busy I hadn't had much time to anticipate it coming which is probably a good thing, but Chris will be living in Tucson for a month for his second rotation. It was so hard to say bye to him and I'm totally bummed. I'm still holding out hope he'll be able to make it home sometime in there even though others I've heard haven't.
So... you'll know where the girls and I are this month... sitting home, at the pool, painting toenails, at the mall... all waiting for Daddy to come home!

It is SO hard to do it all by yourself! I count the hours when brent travels. I can't imagine a whole month. I hope the 4 weeks fly by until Chris is home!
Oh man!!! Jeremy had his Tucson rotation between Thanksgiving and most of Dec. it was no bueno! On a happier note though he did make it home a lot.
You guys should come play over here!! Jeremy is on an audition rotation at Scottsdale, so I'm sure we won't be seeing much of him. Let's set something up. And please call us if you ever need anything...it is tough!...but you CAN do it!!!
Wow, 4 weeks is a long time! I hope everything runs smoothly for you guys and the time passes quickly!
