My Adyson

1 year ago today I was a mess. I had scheduled my c-section for August 12th... and I was in shock that that day was already here. How could it be? Didn't I just find out I was pregnant like... yesterday? I remember being in panic mode. I was so nervous for everything. I was nervous for the surgery, and the recovery while having an 18 month old. I was so nervous about being a good mom to 2 babies! McKenna had all of me. I wanted each of my babies to have ALL of me. We still didn't even have anywhere close to a name picked out. The night before I remember sitting with my mother in law and Chris as we went through the name book and I made a list of names on a sticky note to bring to the hospital!

If only I had known it was my precious Adyson in there! All my worries would have been replaced with calmness and excitement!

The day of the c-section I was so tense, not being able to eat or drink, trying to scramble to make sure everything was ready, clean, and perfect. I just remember wanting to burst out in tears the whole morning.

If only I had known... I was only hours away from meeting my Adyson! Yes, of course I knew I was going to meet the baby in my tummy... but I didn't know my Adyson yet.

Here is the moment I knew my Adyson...

It was pure bliss and definitely love at first sight! :)

She has from day one been our little angel baby. So mellow, easy going, happy, sweet, snuggly, and well... perfect! I always say that the Lord sent me Adyson because He knew I couldn't handle anyone else!

Last night she woke up around 10:00 pm (which is super rare and odd for her) she had a fever and a stuffed nose from 2 teeth that are going to cut through any moment. I just held her with her blanky and she laid her head on my shoulder like she always does. I I just rocked her side to side. We do this all the time. As long as she will keep her little head on my shoulder, I'm complete putty! She can have WHATEVER she wants in those moments! I couldn't help but to let the tears roll. She's so big! I felt like it was me saying goodbye to the baby although I hope she always knows that she is my baby! I tell her as I lay her down to sleep every night "Mama Luvs you... you are my everything, love you baby!'

Just in the last month Adyson Isabelle has grown so much!

• Waving
• clapping!
• She loves folding her arms for prayers!
• Standing... a lot! Any chance she gets she just stands! She wouldn't try to move for a long time, she would just stand!
  
• When she is excited she just giggles and giggles and giggles!
• When we were in UT she refused to nurse any longer, I was sad. I like to nurse up to their birthday but even if I put her in a nursing position she wouldn't even have it! She now drinks out of straws!
• She points at EVERYTHING all the time :)
• She sleeps in the bathroom... yes... the bathroom still. We actually call it Adyson's room though :)
  
• Her favorite song is Old MacDonald had a farm and she always sings at the EIEIO part!
  
• Her favorite animal right now is ducks and she loves to quack at them when she sees them!
  
• Now she is almost walking! She has taken some steps here and there and any day now she is going to be running around like her crazy sister!
  
• She gives the best kisses ever! If she hears the word "bye" she will immediately start to blow kisses and if you ask her for a kiss she'll give you a real big wet one since she always sticks her tongue out!
• She still only has her bottom 2 teeth... she has 2 fangs about to pop through any moment on top though :)
  
• She loves to talk on the phone especially to Daddy! She loves to play with her big sister!

Her year check up stats are:
19.1 lbs. - 25%
30 in. - 75%
Head = 19 - 97%!

So.... She is tall and skinny with lots of brains :) Could you ask for anything more??!
We celebrated her birthday Last Saturday since Daddy is in Tucson! We had a big butterfly party!

So HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY to my Adyson Isabelle! Love you Baby!
