On July 3rd Chris will be 28! Unfortunately he is leaving for his first audition rotation for the whole month of July so we can't be with him. :( He just left a few minutes ago but I'm trying just to pretend it's not happening! He will be in Tulsa, Oklahoma so wish him luck and send good vibes his way! It's pretty nerve wrecking to have to make such a good impression! To do an Emergency Medicine residency you have to have 3 letter of recommendations from 3 different EM residency programs. It is also a chance to check out a program you are interested as well as get in good with them! He will also be doing a month in Las Vegas, Nevada and Springfield, Massachusetts.
To celebrate his BIRTHDAYNESS early, Friday we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Kristina, Parker, and Derek! Of course it was a blast with such quality company :)
I had told the girls before we went that Daddy would have to sit on the horse saddle and we could all say "Yee haw!" They took a zillion years after our check to finally bring it but don't you worry.... we waited!
Then we came back to our place for cake and ice cream.

Kristina and Parker came with gifts... a card and gift card to YARD HOUSE (Yum) for Chris and like always.... they spoiled the girls. Kristina had been board studying and Barnes and Noble and she had told me earlier that there were these princess books by the front of the store that she always saw and thought of McKenna and Adyson. So her last day studying there apparently she couldn't resist! We are so lucky to have friends like them in our lives! They really have become family to us and we love them so much! They have been McKenna and Adyson's adopted aunt and uncle! We can't wait to party with them at their wedding in June!!!!! Kristina won't be living in AZ for 4th year and just like Chris leaving... I'm just pretending that it's not really happening... it's much easier that way! I HATE goodbyes.
Derek has also been an adopted uncle!!! The girls love him and we are so glad he is going to be here this year!

And so it begins.....goodbyes and months on end without our hubbies. Not looking forward to it! I'm glad you had fun celebrating Chris's birthday! Wish we could have been there but I can't wait to see you in a few weeks! :) I'm glad Trev will have Chris to keep him company so he won't get so lonely!

I hope you survive a month without your hubby! That is a long time. Hopefully time flies for you! If you guys end up considering Massachussetts long term we can help with questions, etc. Also if Chris wants some ideas for things to do while he's there. Springfield is a ways from Boston but worth spending some time if he can.
Oh man, you had to say goodbye to your husband early! I hope you have fun with your family this month. We'll have to do something when we're all back in town.
